How does a submersible pump work?

A submersible pump is installed under water. It is one of the most versatile pump types on the market and is useful in a whole range of applications. It has a suction grid fitted to the bottom, through which water is drawn directly into the pump. This then runs towards the pump outlet. A discharge pipe is connected to the pump outlet to drain the water.
